A plain-English walkthrough designed for homeowners 62 and older. Bring your questions, there's live Q&A at the end.

Who holds title, how the FHA-insured HECM program protects you, and why you never hand ownership of your home to a lender.
Lump sum, monthly payments, a growing line of credit, or a mix, and how each one affects your monthly cash flow.
What happens when you move or pass away, how the non-recourse guarantee works, and the choices your family will have.
Age and equity requirements, closing costs, required counseling, and how to find out what you could qualify for.
Michael has spent more than two decades helping homeowners make confident, informed decisions about their home equity.

Michael specializes in helping seniors and their families understand reverse mortgages without pressure or jargon. His seminars are purely educational: you'll leave knowing exactly how the program works, what it costs, and whether it makes sense for your situation.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. We'll go deeper on all of these during the seminar.
You do. Your name stays on the title just like with any other mortgage. The lender simply holds a lien, and you remain responsible for property taxes, homeowners insurance, and upkeep.
Absolutely, and we encourage it. Family members are welcome on the Zoom, and we'll cover how a reverse mortgage affects heirs and inheritance.
Your heirs can keep the home by paying off the loan balance (often by refinancing), or sell it and keep any remaining equity. Because HECM loans are non-recourse, neither you nor your heirs ever owe more than the home is worth.
Reverse mortgage proceeds are loan advances, not income, so they're generally not taxable.* We'll walk through how funds can be received and used.
